Be in it to win it...

I read this blogpost not too long ago, written by fellow Etsyian and Lollibomb Beauty founder (and friend!), Luca Cusolito. I find myself going back to this bookmark when I feel like I need a little kick in the butt (lately, it's a lot!). I thought I'd pass it along for anyone that may need a little motivation too...

Be Present. Live in the now and don’t look back. The past is a nice place to reminisce, but not when it compromises your future. Enjoy the moment for what it is and live fearlessly in it. Look people in the eye when you talk. Sing along to songs you know. Keep dancing, even if it’s by yourself.

Be Happy. Because it’s better than being a joyless shit. And if you keep telling yourself it’s going to be okay, pretty soon you’ll start believing it. Ask me how I know.

Be Flexible. Life has a great way of delivering little minefields to navigate, but if you’re fast on your feet you can certainly find your way. Accept change as the bitch that it is and move fluidly around it. Arm yourself in the knowledge that you’ll land on your feet, even if you’re free falling.

Be In It To Win It. Ditch the negativity and believe wholeheartedly that you can make all of your wildest dreams come true; Afterall, shouldn’t you come out on top when you’re imagining where your life can lead you? Let other people talk smack. Be your own best friend and leave the self-deprecation at the door.
